Notice of EGM

Thursday 31st July 2008 at 7.30 pm

Room 3 Spring Lodge Community Centre

Powers Hall End, Witham

This is to inform you as a member of the Association that the Committee intends to hold an Emergency General Meeting at the time and place stated above.

The only matter on the agenda is in respect of the title deed of the stretch of the river Blackwater the Association owns in Kelvedon. The original title deed was signed in 1966. Most of the signatories have died, one cannot be traced and we are in contact with the remaining signatory, which is Mr Keith Mott.

The point of the EGM is to pass a Resolution to direct Mr Mott to transfer the tile deed to the current Trustees of the Association. These are the Chairman (Mr J Joyce), Vice Chairman (Mr D Foster) and Treasurer (Mr C Lee). This will simplify the process of registering the land at the Land Registry.

As Room 3 is quite small, we will require any member wishing to attend the EGM to notify this in writing to the Secretary, Mr Brian Pike, (11 Keene Way, Galleywood, Chelmsford CM2 8NT) before 24 July 2008. If numerous members want to attend the EGM we may need to make alternative arrangements, or even delay the EGM if this is not possible. Any changes will be notified on the Association website.

If you have any queries with regard to the above, please contact the Treasurer, Mr Chris Lee, details in the Association Handbook.
